The most awaited game is finally here. Wrexham is facing Manchester United in the U.S. Interestingly, the Red Devils haven’t started their first team against the Welsh soccer club. It seems to be like a hard clash from the very first moment as the medics had to help Paul Mullin off the field! The fans were definitely not impressed with the Manchester United goalie for that challenge.
Mullin’s clash with the opposition goalie saw him sustain a head injury. Reports claimed that he has been sent to the hospital after sustaining a blow to the head just outside the penalty box. Wrexham’s manager just released an update on Paul Mullin citing a ‘punctured lung’.

Shockingly, Wrexham took a 2-0 lead within the first half. Goals from Eliott Lee and Aaron Hayden have given Reynolds’s side a comfortable lead. Prior to the goal celebrations, a certain moment during the game caused rage amongst the Wrexham fans. Paul Mullin had a terrible collision with Nathan Bishop and seemingly sustained a head injury. The shot-stopper received a yellow card as a warning.

With his eyesight fully on the ball, Mullin was looking to head the ball over Bishop, who was charging out. Unfortunately, even the goalie’s eyes were on the ball as well. Both of them collided with each other right outside the box. Everyone watching the game looked concerned for him. The medics thought that it was best to not let their key player continue on the pitch.

They helped him off the pitch for further checkups and he then visited the hospital. Wrexham’s boss Phil Parkinson has just revealed that Mullin has suffered a ‘punctured lung’. Without a doubt, Ryan Reynolds cannot afford to lose one of his main players on a long-term basis just weeks before the season begins. Apart from showing palpable concern for Mullin, the fans were quite angry and upset.
