Al Nassr fans were on cloud nine following their team’s historic win over rivals Al Ittihad. However, Al Nassr’s boss Luis Castro, was not too impressed by the margin of the win. Castro questioned his side’s performance during his press conference, claiming they needed to put on more effort.

Castro’s dissatisfaction likely comes after the first half, which saw Al Ittihad find room between Al Nassr’s defense on certain occasions. However, the sides were quick to cover up their issues in the second half. The game also saw Cristiano Ronaldo find a brace helping him become the highest scorer in 2023.

Luis Castro not too pleased with Al Nassr’s performance

The Al Nassr boss was not too happy with his team’s performance despite their historic win over Al Ittihad. Castro did not shy away from criticizing his team during his post-match press conference. The Al Nassr boss during his press conference, stated, “Despite the victory, some mistakes occurred, especially in the first half, and we will work to avoid them in the future.”

Reports also suggested that Castro was unhappy with the team’s goalkeeper following their clash. Fans saw Castro having a heated discussion with the Al Nassr goalkeeper about his involvement during the closing stages of the game.

However, despite the criticism, the team will surely be happy with their effort in the attacking third. Al Nassr was all over their opponents during the contest with both Cristiano Ronaldo and Sadio Mane finding a brace to their name.

The player also can add more goals to his record, with Al Nassr set to take on Al Taawoun in their final fixture before the start of the new year.
