Thus, in an early interview, Wrexham owner Ryan Reynolds expressed his thoughts on the subject. 

The soccer club enjoyed a glorious campaign after getting promoted to the EFL League Two. Hence, he once opened up his thoughts of sustaining this form and that anything can happen in soccer. The club is definitely on the rise with the $2.5 million investment it received, but also had its fair share of losses. But Reynolds explained his thoughts about the matter.

The owner shared his thoughts on possible soccer scenarios. He mentioned, “Look, anything can happen in football. You know, you can put together the greatest team on earth, and then you know, you can see some giant killer come along and take out Man United. I mean, it’s if anything can happen in this sport.” Speaking of Manchester United, they were on the top of the Premier League charts for years. No team could dominate them, but the tides have turned. Their noisy neighbors, Manchester City, have come to the top and reclaimed the spot. 

This club was under financial insecurities and struggled in the lower leagues for a long time. But that’s a story of the past, as they are the most dominant teams in Europe. Owning to this, he explained how Wrexham could take a similar path and reach the top of the table. He continued, “So why couldn’t Wrexham? You know, theoretically make all the way to the Premier League one day. I mean, it’s, uh, this is the place where hopes and dreams are born every day. So why not?”

Following the promotion, one can bet on the ability of the club to get to the Premier League. Take Luton Town as an example. The club languished in the National League for several years before but made its way to the top league. Hence, anything can be possible. 

Wrexham will hope to reach the Premier League

Manchester City reached the top through proper investment by the Abu Dhabi United Group. Likewise, Reynolds has injected a lot of money into the club despite incurring losses. For a club to perform at the highest level, they need solid players and staff. Therefore, without proper investment, it is not easy for a club to sustain its push to the top. 

One of the oldest clubs in the world has the history and the money to get back to the top. They stayed in the lower leagues of English football for a long time. But things are changing as Wrexham looks for back-to-back promotions and achieves their dreams of playing in the Premier League.
