There’s no doubt that Ronaldo is one of the most influential athletes in the world. However, this signing has brought some bad news for soccer fans living in America and England who are fans of the Portuguese star.
Soccer fans in UK and USA won’t be able to watch Cristiano Ronaldo
Al-Nassr, the club Cristiano Ronaldo signed for, plays in the Saudi Pro League. And there are currently no television deals in place in the United States or England to broadcast the league. There’s no saying if there will be a deal in place after Ronaldo’s signing. But as of now, fans in these countries will not be able to watch their favorite player on the pitch.
At the time of writing, the Saudi Pro League didn’t have any broadcasting deal with any media house in the United States. Moreover, the two cup competitions don’t have any TV deals in the country. In the UK, there’s no way to watch the Saudi Pro League and the cup competitions. However, the AFC Champions League does have a broadcasting deal with OneFootball. But Al-Nassr will not play in the AFC CL next season.
Fans will have to pray that Ronaldo’s new club finishes 1st or 2nd in the league to play in the Champions League next season. This is an enormous disappointment for fans. As Ronaldo is not only an amazing player but also an inspiration to many. His skills on the field are unmatched and his personality off it is just as endearing. Fans in America and England have supported Ronaldo throughout his career. And it really is a shame that they won’t be able to watch him play this season.

Cristiano Ronaldo moved to Al-Nassr in a record-breaking deal. The deal is reported to be worth a whopping $500 million. Which will see the Portuguese star earn an annual salary of $80 million, making him the highest-paid soccer player in history.

This move came as a shock for many because Ronaldo had only just left Manchester United a few months ago. And it was widely believed that he would either return to his former club, Real Madrid or join another top European club. It will be interesting to see how Ronaldo adapts to the Asian game.
