Speaking on his recent episode of the ‘The Ben Foster Podcast,’ Foster discussed his contract extension. He was quick to point out that there was never a doubt in his mind before signing the extension. He explained his reasoning while applauding the club.

Foster spoke passionately about his experience at Wrexham, saying, “I was at the club, for six weeks, yeah and that six weeks just flew by so quick. I’ve never felt as at home and at ease at a football club as what I have in the last six weeks”. He went on to praise everyone involved, including the lads, the club, the staff, the facilities, and the owners. He highlighted how they had a positive “outlook on how to run a football club,” a factor that resonated with him.

Foster’s admiration extended to the club’s acceptance of his YouTube channel and podcasts, which he expressed “They are in for all of it”.  He also applauded the fans, saying, “The fans have been incredible, they have embraced me so, so well”. “So it was never ever in doubt, genuinely wasn’t,” Foster concluded.

Foster’s decision to extend his contract with Wrexham is excellent news for the team and its fans. The veteran goalkeeper has brought a wealth of experience to the club, both on and off the pitch, so much so that other Wrexham players consider him a “statement of intent” signing.

In a recent podcast, Louis Lloyd shared the team’s initial disbelief that Ryan Reynolds had actually secured Foster’s signature. Their shock only increased when they saw Foster dressed in a Wrexham training kit.

According to Lloyd the signing “is a statement of intent kind of thing like, this title is going to be won. And the buzz around the stadium and training just took another level. Honestly, it was mental!”. With Foster’s experience and leadership, the team has a reliable and accomplished player in their ranks. As for Foster, Wrexham seemed to have won his heart, and he is delighted to be at a place where he feels welcome and engaged.
