In soccer, things can go south for anyone regardless of their talent and notable career accolades. Colombian defender Yerry Mina’s career saw him play with the best in the world, however, did not have great stability. Mina played for six different clubs in just over 10 years, but the star could again see a flip playing alongside Lionel Messi at Inter Miami.
Inter Miami, on the other hand, will move into an important year in its pursuits. David Beckham’s struggled to make any impact in the MLS until now. And after a reasonable amount of investment, the club is trying to make its squad world-class. And it looks like Mina could provide the option.

David Beckham’s team saw a lot of improvement after the arrival of Lionel Messi. But only their attack seems to be covered, and hence the club will love to sharpen their defense now. Therefore, as Yerry Mina is now given the option to leave Serie A team Fiorentina, reports suggest that an MLS club is interested in the player, which can be Inter Miami. Mina already played with Messi at Barcelona in 2018.

Mina can provide a good option for the Herons, provided he keeps himself fit. The player had quite a lot of injuries that hampered his stay both at Everton and at Fiorentina. He has only started 2 games for Fiorentina, providing an assist for them in 7 games, but the rest of the time was away with injury.
The Colombian joined the club on a one-year deal six months ago from Everton but could move out even before completing his tenure. Earlier, the Colombian managed to play 99 games for the Toffees but was preferred next to Ben Godfrey. However, if fit, Mina can add a lot of weight to Inter Miami’s weak backline.

Inter Miami hopes to end its defensive woes
Inter Miami had a pretty weak defensive performance last season. It has conceded 54 goals in 34 games, the second most in the Eastern Conference, which can be considered a major drawback. The club’s elite midfield will also have no solution to such an issue. The last part of 2023 was a clear example where they allowed an average of 1.42 goals per game in their final 12 matches despite having European superstars.
