Wrexham AFC fans brought one interesting story to light recently. The Welsh club just welcomed Ben Foster in their goliath of a roaster. He has signed with the club till the end of this season as a horrific injury meant Rob Lainton will be out for the remainder of the season.

Wrexham might see one more signing if Ryan Reynolds took care of ‘fans’ demands’. Thousands of fans are suggesting the Welsh club sign a former teammate of Cristiano Ronaldo, who has been a free agent for a long time and is waiting for his phone to ring.

It shocked fans when they found out that former Real Madrid attacking midfielder Isco has been without a club since December last year. It came as a shock because he has played 246 matches for the La Liga giants. This news blew up on Twitter as fans of different fan bases started to suggest their teams grab the opportunity. Here are a few reactions.

Having a Premier League caliber talent in the lower level soccer might give Wrexham a huge advantage. The team already looks like a tier 2 team after giving tough competition to Coventry and Sheffield United. Whether Ryan Reynolds would think it’s the right idea or not is a different question though. The only drawback of this decision is the impact this signing might have on the budget of Wrexham.

Ben Foster is being “paid peanuts”

Fans were concerned about the vacant position when Rob Lainton was injured. The fans couldn’t be happier when they announced that the legendary goalkeeper Ben Foster is coming out of retirement to drag Wrexham through this season. Some thought it was about the money Wrexham was paying him but, it was dismissed. Foster claimed that they “paid him peanuts” to sign, which basically means his decision had nothing to do with money.

What happened is, Foster cashed in on the increasing popularity of the club. They will feature him in Welcome to Wrexham season 2, he will be able to make vlogs of the matches and get Ryan Reynolds on his podcast. Do you think this is a good idea for Foster? Drop your views in the comments below.
