Morocco will face France in the 2nd semi-final of the 2022 FIFA World Cup. They have been the dark horse of the competition and broke several records. Morocco became the first African team to play in the semi-finals of the soccer mega-event. They could better the record by beating France for a spot in the final.
The North African giants have been unbeaten throughout the competition and conceded just one goal so far. However, they may have some bad news in terms of fan turnout as several fans have been denied entry to Qatar.

Morocco fans have been very vocal during the games, expressing their support for their nation. However, in several parts of the world, cases of violence and riots have been reported by Moroccan fans. But that doesn’t take away the fact that they have been amazing throughout the world cup, just like their players.

Morocco has a strong roster, arguably one of the strongest in Africa. However, they have punched above their weight, as some of their players have been the best in their respective positions. They would have enough fans inside the stadium to support the team against France. However, they could have had hundreds more, as Qatar reportedly didn’t allow them inside the country.
Qatar stops 23 Moroccan flights from entering to support the team at FIFA WC
The Royal Moroccan Football Federation has been distributing free tickets to fans for the semi-finals clash. They reportedly handed out 13,000 tickets to Moroccan fans. Royal Air Maroc, reportedly, planned to send 30 flights full of fans to Qatar to support the team against France. However, Qatar has denied 23 of the flights from entering.
Today, Morocco was planning to charter 30 flights to Qatar — sending fans to support their team in its historic World Cup semi-final.
Now, Qatari authorities have denied the effort.

“We bought the rest of unsold tickets in the stadium, and we distributed them to our fans,” said Moroccan FA president Fouzi Lekjaa. “They are here in Qatar, and they have only one desire — to see the national team.”
This might be a setback for Morocco, but their remaining fans will surely support the team to the fullest. France is arguably the toughest opponent Morocco is facing in the competition. However, they know how to beat a top team, such as Spain and Portugal. It could be an interesting clash.
