After conducting the World Cup in Qatar, FIFA has stopped making the headlines. They just issued a ruling and imposed thousands of dollars on Mexico. Along with that, Mexico also has to forfeit the last 3 games. This is one of the bigger punishments FIFA has issued. They broke a couple of rules that were notified to the international governing body of soccer. These punishments can spell disaster for the Mexican team as they will affect the ranking of the team.

FIFA has been very active in issuing decisions on pending cases. A couple of these happened during WC.
