Washington Spirit star, Trinty Rodman, in a recent interview, touched down on her role model who influenced her game. The daughter of NBA legend Dennis Rodman lauded Megan Rapinoe for changing the game and talked about her aspirations to be like the former USWNT icon. Rapinoe decided to hang her boots last month from international soccer following the friendlies against South Africa.

Washington Spirit star Trinity Rodman is one of the top prospects for the USWNT. The 21-year-old has already become part of the senior team at such a young age. Recently, the striker had quite a lot of say while she lauded Megan Rapinoe.
“Megan Rapinoe has been a big one for me, Christen Press, and Tobin Heath have been big ones for me. Obviously playing with Rapinoe was amazing. To be there for her retirement was amazing and she’s just worked so hard and changed the game of soccer. She brings her own personality and swag to the game and I hope to do the same.”

Megan Rapinoe decided to draw the curtain on her decorated career following her 203rd appearance for the USWNT. The player accomplished multiple accolades as part of the team’s golden generation, winning two consecutive World Cup titles in 2015 and 2019. Following her last, game she could not keep her emotions in check while addressing the fans.
