“She Won’t Stop Loving” – 2X Grammy Winner Carlos Vives Sends a Heartfelt Message to Shakira as She Decides to Leave Spain After Break Up With Gerard Pique

Former soccer star Gerard Pique and Shakira separated earlier this year. The former couple was in a relationship for more than a decade after meeting each other at the 2010 FIFA World Cup. However, the two broke up after reports claiming cheating surfaced in June. Their break-up became one of the biggest talking points of the summer, but the two didn’t address any claims related to their split. Months after their split, Colombian singer Carlos Vives sent a positive message to Shakira through his song.

A lot has happened since Shakira and Pique separated in June. Pique hasn’t spoken to the media about their split. However, Shakira did share her thoughts on the end of her 12-year-old relationship. She admitted that it was ‘tough’ for her.

A few weeks ago, Colombian singer Carlos Vives made a big decision to change the lyrics of his song ‘La Bicicleta’. However, in a recent interview, he revealed that he did it to support Shakira.

In a recent interview with HOLA! TV, Vives revealed the reason behind the change in lyrics. He explained why he made the big decision to change the lyrics to support Shakira.

Vives said: “No, I wouldn’t do that. I let myself go in the moment because I was singing the song and I had a group of young girls in front of me. And I was singing to them when I reached that part and they did like this [hand-zipping gesture]. And I don’t know why I mimicked them and made the same gesture.”

“The last thing I want is for people to think that I didn’t want to say Barcelona, when it’s a city that I love. I’m sure that Shaki… She won’t stop loving and valuing that song. Because that came from her heart when she wrote it,” he continued.

That is a big gesture of support for Shakira in hard times like this. Shakira, however, reportedly left Spain months after her breakup with Pique. It has been reported that she is ready to start her new life in the United States. She will also keep her children, Sasha and Milan, with her in the US.
