Running Over a Journalist With His Car Making ‘Obscene Signs’, Gerard Pique Angrily Drags Him to Court Following Multiple Instances of Harassment

Life hasn’t been easy for Gerard Pique or Shakira since the breakup. While Shakira eventually decided to move out of the country, Pique continued to live in the toxic-paparazzi environment. Along with constantly being in the limelight, he is trying to start a new but private life with his new partner. While Clara Chia Marti doesn’t really speak to the media, the soccer veteran has done all he could to shield her.

But there have been certain instances that have gone a bit too far. Months ago, the new celebrity couple had a conflict with a popular Spanish journalist. While the journalist was ‘legally’ doing his job, Pique almost ran over him. In relation to the same controversy and multiple instances of harassment, they have taken legal action against the paparazzi.

Who and why has Gerard Pique taken legal action against?

The popular Spanish journalist in the limelight is none other than Jordi Martin. In the last year, he has become an ever-shinning presence in the Shakira – Pique controversy. Along with unveiling the first picture of Pique and Chia Marti together, he has also broken a few major news pieces. Quite a few times, Martin has also interacted with the infamous couple.

But recent reports suggest that Martin might need to put this controversy on the back burner. That is simply because the FC Barcelona legend has taken legal action against him. After chasing them for months, the retired defender has asked for a restraining order. If the request is granted, the popular journalist will not be able to go within 3000 meters of them.

The celebrity couple had reportedly filed a complaint against him on May 10. In relation to the same, the two of them will face each other in court on Wednesday. While the FC Barcelona legend has accused him of harassment, Martin will simply argue that he was within his ‘legal rights’ to do his job.

In March, the celebrity couple visited Pique’s parent’s home. At that time, the Colombian icon had just released TQG, her second diss track. Martin attempted to ask the soccer veteran a few questions. But the retired defender simply smiled and walked away. But the journalist was hellbent on getting his answers. He surprisingly decided to stay put instead of following them into the building.

After some time, Pique and Chia Marti got back into their car. As soon as the soccer legend saw him, he reportedly sped toward him and almost ran him over. Later, the journalist claimed that the Kings League owner had done it deliberately while laughing at him. Also, he mentioned that they made ‘obscene signs’ at him too.
