This also means that Milan and Sasha get to spend a few more days with Gerard Pique this summer vacation. A few days ago, a report claimed that the Waka-Waka singer wasn’t really happy looking at the soccer veteran’s efforts to meet his kids.

Shakira returns to Colombia to spend time with her sick father

The Grammy Award winner has always been close to her family. On several occasions, she has posted heartwarming messages for her mother and father. Recent times reportedly haven’t been too pleasant in the Mebarak family. That’s because William Mebarak’s health condition is rapidly declining. El Espectador claims that the music artist is already back in her hometown to tend to her father.

The report claims that she landed in Colombia on August 2 in the morning. She had arrived via Spain after dropping Milan and Sasha in Barcelona. The usual paparazzi were waiting outside the airport, but they couldn’t get a snippet of the music artist. This time, the singer was even more cautious as she tried to stay away from the cameras. Her father hasn’t been recovering from his brain surgery too well.

Since his fall, he has suffered from hydrocephalus. Earlier this year, he underwent surgery to treat the same issue. The doctors implanted a small valve in the brain which would help him recover faster. From the looks of it, things aren’t panning out as per the plan. Hence, the Colombian icon has returned home. Having no choice, she had to leave her kids with their father.

Simply because their children have flown for more than sixty hours during this summer vacation, which the report claims to be a ‘great effort’ for them.
