Manchester United’s recent actions might not sit well with multiple media outlets across England. In a surprising turn of events, the club has banned several media outlets, including Manchester Evening News, from attending Erik Ten Hag’s upcoming press conference. The Dutchman will address the media before the upcoming game against Chelsea. With Erik Ten Hag reportedly losing support in the dressing room, the club wants to avoid any white noise surrounding the team.

The ban likely came after the Manchester Evening News article that claimed the manager had lost the dressing room. United is apparently unhappy that the media outlet did not cross-check with the club. Things have not worked out the way Manchester United fans would have expected this season. The side has had a disastrous campaign so far, losing six out of their fourteen games in the Premier League.

In a surprising turn of events, the Red Devils have blocked multiple media outlets from attending Erik Ten Hag’s upcoming press conference before the game against Chelsea.

The chief writer for Manchester Evening News, Samuel Luckhurst, took his X handle just minutes ago to inform the public about United’s decision. Luckhurst wrote, “The MEN and other outlets have been banned from Ten Hag’s press conference today by #mufc comms director Andrew Ward.”

The communications director, Andrew Ward, was notified of the ban on MEN. The recent months have seen multiple controversies around Ward, with journalists claiming Ward has stopped them from asking questions in press conferences.

Things have not gone as planned for Manchester United. While the club hopes to find footing under the Dutchman and his preferred signings, the team has yet to identify the desired results.

Their return to the Champions League under Erik Ten Hag has been nothing short of disastrous. The side is at the bottom of their group with just four points from five games. United have lost three out of their five games in the Champions League, and their only hope of making it into the knockouts is to make sure they win their last game against Bayern while Galatasaray and Copenhagen draw their game.
