As reported by Sport Mediaset, Eriksson revealed to a Spanish Radio that he is fighting a different battle now. The former Manchester City coach said, “Everyone understood that I wasn’t well. They imagined it was cancer, and it is. I have to fight as long as I can.“He later revealed that, in the best-case scenarios, he would live for a year or even more. However, if things didn’t go this way, he would live for less than a year, which is indeed heartbreaking news.

The Swedish manager revealed that he collapsed while he was running five kilometers and was immediately rushed to the hospital. After a thorough examination, it was confirmed that he had a stroke but was already having a tumor. The 75-year-old also mentioned that he has no idea how long he would live, as it is uncertain and can be a month or a year.

Last year, the former Lazio FC coach resigned as sporting director of Karlstad Football as his health prevented him from working efficiently.
