Sorare is a fantasy soccer game that allows players to buy, sell, trade, and manage their digital cards of the players. It runs on the Ethereum blockchain. Players gather and manage a team of five soccer players through NFTs and participate in fantasy leagues.
Sorare currently has a community of over three million users and deals in place with various clubs and sports leagues. Recently, the NFT-based game platform has extended its deal with the Dutch league Eredivisie for three years till 2025.
Sorare has agreements with famous soccer leagues in Europe
Dutch Eredivisie this week signed a deal with Sorare for three years. Sorare will now become an exclusive NFT Fantasy Sports Partner of the Dutch first-division soccer league. Eredivisie will be able to reach three million users across 185 countries with the agreement.

Sorare now boasts partnerships with over 250 sports entities. It includes Spanish La Liga, the German Bundesliga, Italian Serie A, and now the Dutch league. It also has world-famous athletes like Serena Williams, Lionel Messi, and Kylian Mbappe as investors. They are also spreading beyond soccer by shifting focus to basketball and baseball.
Sorare already has NBA and MLB tied to them. They are targeting women’s sports too, and that’s the reason Sorare got tennis legend Serena Williams on board in 2021. The French gaming platform wants its presence in North America, and these deals will help them to achieve it.
Serena Williams plays a dual role at Sorare
To gain popularity in North America, Sorare appointed Serena Williams as a Board Advisor in 2021. However, the player revealed that she also made some investments in the gaming platform. Although, the figures weren’t disclosed by the tennis star.

Tennis legend thinks the platform is far beyond holding the collectibles. It also helps users to have interactions with each other, which motivated her to join Sorare.
