Serena Williams’ Husband Alexis Ohanian and Daughter Olympia in Attendance With Nearly 18,000 Fans as Angel City FC Make a Stunning Comeback at Home Against Racing Louisville

This season for Angel City FC has been a bit disappointing. The team has lost 2 of three matches. Pre-season preparations for the team have still not made any impact. Fans are waiting for Alyssa Thompson to step up to the hype. She has scored once, but, being the first draft pick of the 2023 NWSL draft fans, she has higher expectations.

Owner Alexis Ohanian with daughter Olympia was in attendance for the latest matchup. Record no. of fans stood in dismay yet again as they barely brought the game back against Racing Louisville. With Alyssa Thompson not playing, the team’s offense was lacking, and Louisville took full advantage of that gap.

Angel City FC make a strong comeback but had to settle for a draw

With 2-1 on the score, fans along with Alexis Ohanian and his daughter Olympia stood in shock as the team dropped points yet again. The season has started a bit slowly for the Los Angeles-based team. With 1 win, 1 loss, and one defeat, the team now stands at 7th spot. The team was trailing till the 67th minute. The first goal came in the 68th minute from Katie Johnson.

In 87th minute, Savannah McCaskill scored the equalizer in front of the record 18007 fans. BMO Stadium erupted in roars as McCaskill pulled a semi-scissor kick and leveled the score. Although fans would have wanted a win, a draw is a better result than a defeat.

With almost 18k fans attending, the match had the most attendance the whole weekend. The marketing efforts from Alexis Ohanian and the whole ownership group are now making results for the LA-based team.

Before the season began, Ohanian went to great lengths to promote Angel City FC and the whole league. It sure can be the league that will become the litmus paper for USWNT stars.
