Thierry Henry lavishes praise on Phil Foden

The English superstar stepped up to the occasion this season with Manchester City missing the services of Kevin De Bruyne for almost 7 months. Former Arsenal star Thierry Henry was equally impressed with Phil Foden following the game against West Ham. Talking about the player’s performance throughout the season, Henry claimed Foden has been the go-to man for Pep Guardiola. Henry believed, “Rodri missed some games, Kevin De Bruyne missed some games and Phil Foden was never the answer. But this year? He answered every single call. It didn’t matter [what position he played], he made sure that when Kevin De Bruyne came back, the team would be really high.”

Phil Foden had an impressive run with the Sky Blues this season, registering 19 goals in the Premier League. This has been his best figure in Manchester City colors, with the player racking up 38 goal contributions in 52 games. Foden will look to close things with a bang as Manchester City travel to Wembley in a week to take on local rivals, Manchester United in the FA Cup finals.
