The world is ready to view Saudi Arabia as the new destination for soccer. The signing of Cristiano Ronaldo was just the beginning of an emerging cult in the soccer world. After the arrival of big stars from the best clubs in Europe, the Saudi Pro League is getting innovative with its policies. Nevertheless, by employing a trial-and-error methodology, Cristiano Ronaldo may discover that he is compelled to relocate to a different club in the event of inadequate performance.
The League is still figuring out new ideas to keep up with international standards. Even though the country has world-class infrastructure, it is trying to raise its internal soccer ecosystem by implementing new ideas.

The league has gained traction after acquiring the services of top players from across the seas. But its longevity will be determined by the sustenance of such players. According to a report, intending to keep players in the league, the SPL is introducing a new rule. This innovative plan will enable teams to facilitate the transfer of a player to another club in the event of underperformance.
Apart from Cristiano Ronaldo, many top players like Neymar, Karim Benzema, Sadio Mane, and others have joined the league. But only a few players have found their mark in the league. Players like Roberto Firmino, Allan Saint-Maximin, and goalkeepers like Edouard Mendy could not meet expectations. In order to keep these players from getting disappointed, moving them to a club where they can settle well is the idea. We expect the plan to start in January 2024, during the minor transfer window.
The clubs from Saudi Arabia have spent almost a billion dollars in the last window, only next to the English Premier League. But since they are trying something like this for the first time, the execution of the idea is yet to be seen. But the transfer prices and the finances of rapidly moving players will raise more questions about the rule.
