“It was such an incredible and perfect day, and with the way everything came together so quickly, it was all just very emotional, overwhelming and super raw because there wasn’t going to be a chance to do it again,” said Alex Morgan, embracing all the adulation. It’s challenging to walk away from a game you’re passionate about, especially after achieving so much success. She didn’t have the announcement she wanted when Emma Hayes took over.
