It was either Barcelona or nothing for Gerard Pique

Gerard Pique spoke to the Spanish media outlet Cadena SER recently. He got a question regarding Saudi Arabia. The Barcelona legend replied, “They didn’t call me in Saudi Arabia, and I wouldn’t have gone there either. I always said that the club of my life was Barça and that I would then retire.”

“It was very clear to me; football was linked to Barça. Doing things for money is not my way of looking at things. They invest, I understand that they also invest in their image. The world of football is changing,” Pique added. However, it was complete opposite of Lionel Messi. Recently Barcelona president said that Messi will be on Barcelona payroll until 2025, despite not playing for them.
