Wrexham has become a household name in soccer. The club is enjoying quite a spotlight, with Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney being the chief catalysts. The duo took over the club in 2021, and since then, they have changed the fortunes of the club.

Besides working for the club, the actors have created a unified bond with both teams and the Wrexham community. Fans have often seen them donating to several causes and taking part in charity events.

Ryan Reynolds hails Wrexham star

And it seems like his club’s players are also following his steps in showing support for a cause. Wrexham’s star player Paul Mullin recently announced that he would be a part of a Wrexham-based autism charity.

“ I am pleased to announce that I have agreed to be a patron of Wrexham-based autism charity Your Space. As some of you may know my son Albi has been recently diagnosed as on the spectrum so it is a cause that is close to my family’s heart,” said Paul in an Instagram post.

The cause is quite close to Paul, as the doctors have diagnosed his own son with autism. It is indeed a good initiative taken by the striker and has been hailed by the owner, Ryan Reynolds, himself. The Deadpool star is in full support of the 28-year-old’s initiative and even shared Mullin’s post on his Instagram story.

Mullin continues to shine for the Red Dragons

It is indeed a great initiative by Paul, who has made the whole Wrexham community proud. Besides making his name off the pitch, the player is shining like a star on the pitch.

Mullin is the club’s top scorer, having scored 37 goals in 41 games so far. The player is competing for the top-scorer spot against his rival’s player, Macaulay Langstaff. The star player helped his side clinch a single point against Maidenhead United by scoring a brace.

Wrexham is enjoying their lead at the top and is four points clear of title rivals Notts County. They will be look to maintain the lead today while facing Southend United. Moreover, Paul will look to get his name on the scoresheet.
