The Met Gala is a popular annual fundraising event that is held to aid the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute in New York City. It is regarded as one of the most prestigious and opulent events. Only people with high stature and fame from different spheres of the profession are invited exclusively.
This year too, the event is taking place, with both Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney also on the invite list. However, both won’t be attending the famous event.
While talking to Access Hollywood, when they were asked about their plans to attend the dinner, the duo swiftly rejected the invitation. In fact, Reynolds had a solid reason for the rejection. “I think we’re off to Europe, to UK. We have Wrexham business to deal with, so yeah.”

McElhenney also agreed with his companion, thus nodding to the Canadian actor’s answer. It seems both owners have set their priorities straight and will be flying back to their beloved club. Moreover, the decision became much simpler after Reynolds’ wife also confirmed that she would not attend the gala but would rather watch it on her couch.
Either way, it is quite surprising to see the dedication of both owners, who showed what the club actually means to them. Furthermore, after sorting out the promotion, they must be looking to keep their preparations tight for next year.
