While Wrexham may have not found the ideal start they were looking for in their League Two debut. The Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney-owned side had their moment of success in their Round 1 clash against Wigan Athletic in the Carabao Cup.

With a 4-2 win over the opponents on penalties, Wrexham will now move to the next round of the tournament. The team had a great showing throughout the game, with players stepping up on defense. One of the stars of the team was 21-year-old Max Cleworth, who had an outstanding showing for the team.

Wrexham posted an appreciation post for Max Cleworth on his birthday following his outstanding showing for Wrexham in the Carabao Cup. The young defender put on an outstanding showing in the match that saw Wrexham hold their opponents to 0-0 in normal time, with the game dragging on to penalties.

Max Cleworth was great in defense, as he supported his teammates well throughout the contest and was excellent with his timing and tackles which will give the team hope in their upcoming games.

Wrexham will have to be on top of their game in their upcoming game against AFC Wimbledon in League Two. There are still doubts over Paul Mullin’s return as Wrexham hopes to get back to the top of the table with their hopes of securing a consecutive promotion.

Wrexham look to get back on track following their win

Wrexham, following their pre-season tour in the United States, has shown some great soccer so far in their two games. Despite their loss to MK Dons in their opening game of League Two, the side put on a remarkable performance in an 8-goal fest.

The team will be consolidated further when Paul Mullins arrives, providing them with the much-needed firepower in front of the goal. But with great performances from the likes of Cleworth, skipper Ben Tozer and veteran Ben Foster, the side could continue to stand tall as a decent defensive unit.
