Wrexham has been on a roll right now. The side had a brilliant campaign in their pre-season tour of the United States with 2 wins in 4 games. Although owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney have been the driving force for the club off the field, skipper Ben Tozer has been a cornerstone for the team on the field.

Ben Tozer, despite his recent struggles of losing his father, has been a true pillar for the team. The Wrexham defender took to his social media account as he shared a heartwarming post on what would be his father’s 60th birthday. Owner Ryan Reynolds was one of the first people to react as he took his time to appreciate the gesture made by the defender.

The defender also shared a second image that saw his father’s friends gathered around as they wore his kit outside a pub while holding onto the framed jersey. Owner Ryan Reynolds was quick to react to the post as he liked it minutes after being posted showing his appreciation in the process.

Ben Tozer lost his father last month his July when he found out the latter was diagnosed with leukemia. While his father was admitted in time and was on the way to recovery, things could not work out for the Tozers.

However, with Ben Tozer in defense, the team still has one of the senior stars who can lead from the front. He will have the support of veteran goalkeeper Ben Foster, who renewed his contract with the club and remains with the side for League Two.
