The Hollywood star seems to have developed such a huge love for the Welsh side that he has even created a strict ritual for himself to ensure Wrexham’s win. And now Reynolds has extended the same treatment to ensure England’s win over Spain in the Euro 2024 final.

The Euro fever has clearly reached the Deadpool star who seems to have already pledged his allegiance to the team he is supporting. Alongside fellow actor Hugh Jackman, Reynolds seems to be fully cheering on Gareth Southgate and his squad.

Ryan Reynolds refuses to make England vs Spain prediction

Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman are currently engaged in promotional campaigns for their forthcoming film, ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’. Recently, the duo participated in an interview where they discussed the highly anticipated Euro final. During the conversation, Hugh Jackman made a bold prediction, forecasting a scoreline of England 9-8 Spain.

This prognostication took Ryan Reynolds by surprise. Reynolds responded by stating, “I don’t do that even with Wrexham. “ He elaborated on his aversion to making predictions: “Always because I blow it, right? Like if I predict a Wrexham win with a score, it’s just not going to work for us.” Reynolds expressed his desire for an England victory but refrained from making predictions to avoid jinxing the outcome.

He added further context: ” So I’m not going to do that to England who have earned this. Is it 1966? Is that the last? Yeah, boy I wish them well.” It is evident how strongly Reynolds supports England and Gareth Southgate’s team, even extending to them what he refers to as the special ‘Wrexham treatment.’ It should be noted that this is not the first occasion on which both Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman have shown their support for Southgate.

Recently, Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds sat down with Rio Ferdinand for an interview. During the discussion, Ferdinand, a staunch supporter of his nation, claimed that the England squad is the best and highlighted the significant role Southgate has played in fostering a positive environment for them. Both Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman concurred with this viewpoint.

The Wolverine star further added, “Sometimes that [criticism] galvanizes the group when they have that kind of pressure.” Both celebrities made their predictions and agreed that it would be England who would lift the Euro 2024 Cup. Now we must wait to see if these Hollywood stars’ predictions come true.
