It doesn’t take one long to become a soccer fan. Just ask Ryan Garcia. The American boxer spent just a few hours in Saudi Arabia and now seems to be the biggest fan of the Al Nassr skipper. Streamer IShowSpeed would disagree, but Garcia seems to be gunning for his spot! The ex-WBC interim lightweight champion has been quite vocal about this appreciation for Cristiano Ronaldo, as of late.

The American star recently put up an image of himself in an Al Nassr t-shirt alongside his selfie alongside Cristiano Ronaldo while praising the soccer icon. Garcia wrote, “My brother for life Cristiano. I love you, my brother.” While CR7’s fans might love the message, boxing fans didn’t miss the chance to remind Garcia of what’s going on in his own life.

The American boxer bagged a massive win over David Haney in April. However, the win now stands disputed with Garcia testing positive for Ostarine. Fans quickly pointed out the controversy in the comments with one fan trolling the boxer, “He protect. He attac. But most importantly he drug addac.” However, unlike his usual demeanor, Garcia seemed unfazed by the comment as he praised the troll for his skills!

Sarcasm aside, Garcia has been asked to provide a B-Sample with the player denying the drug abuse charges. Meanwhile, Garcia will hope to turn his attention away from the controversy with the boxer scheduled to lock horns against Errol Spence later this year. With how Garcia has been in love with Saudi Arabia, don’t be too surprised if the 25-year-old manages to book his berth at the Kingdom Arena with Cristiano Ronaldo in attendance.

Ryan Garcia lavishes praise on Cristiano Ronaldo

May seemed to be a busy month for the former WBC interim lightweight champion. Garcia was spotted in attendance for the marquee clash between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk just days after his fight with David Haney. The 25-year-old was photographed alongside soccer icon Cristiano Ronaldo, with the boxer sharing pictures of their evening at the Kingdom Arena.

Garcia also praised Cristiano Ronaldo for inspiring him with the boxer, stating, “He’s inspired me in many ways. I may not play football. But I appreciated everything he represents. How he played and so much more thank you @cristiano.”

It didn’t stop there, as the boxer also left an inspirational message for Cristiano Ronaldo’s son motivating him to pave his own path. Lucky for him, the teen seems to be doing just that and hopefully won’t be requiring the boxer’s help anytime soon. What do you think of Ryan Garcia’s newfound love for Cristiano Ronaldo?
