It was a time for redemption after a disappointing 5-0 loss to Chelsea. With a determination of a lion on the prowl, Wrexham AFC took the field against MLS Next Pro side, LA Galaxy II. The Dignity Health Sports Park was buzzing in anticipation of a thrilling display.

The teams didn’t disappoint. It was evident from the kickoff that both teams wanted the win. And the Red Dragons delivered a 4-0 victory in the presence of co-owner Rob McElhenney, leaving the fans in awe.

The Reds started the game on the front foot in the presence of McElhenney. But the first big chance fell to Galaxy Reserves, with Foster making the save look easy. Wrexham upped the game and got their first shot on target. Jacob Mendy cut inside in the 12th minute and blasted the ball at the goal, but the Galaxy goalie brilliantly tipped it off. Meanwhile, Galaxy grew into the game and had another splendid chance, with Foster making a big save.

The moment of the first half arrived in the 23rd minute. Elliot Lee controlled and deposited the ball into the net acrobatically. But the referee disallowed the goal for offside. The Reds came out in the second half determined to get something, and their pressure paid off. Paul Mullin started the counter and dinked the ball to Andy Cannon, who finished off the counter in the 47th minute. It paved the way for the Reds’ dominance.

Mullin came closer in the 53rd minute, but the Galaxy goalkeeper made another significant save. However, Lee doubled the lead, with Mullin assisting again in the 55th minute. After notching two assists, Mullin finally gets his goal in the 65th minute before getting substituted the next minute. Anthony Forde made it 4-0 in the 68th minute. 

Wrexham kept pushing for more and came close on several occassions, but the goalkeeper denied them a chance to score 5th. Paul Mullin’s brilliant display earned him Man of the Match in the 4-0 drubbing of LA Galaxy Reserves. Suffice to say, Wrexham fans expressed their delight with the team’s performance on social media.

The Red Dragons fans were full of praise for Super Mullin for his brilliant display. Mullin scored one and assisted the first two goals. They got something to cheer about after Chelsea’s 5-0 thrashing.

Meanwhile, some fans asked the free-scoring Red Dragons to save something for the Manchester United game.

Fans hailed the dominant performance of Wrexham.

Wrexham fans will hope for the same energy on July 26 when the Reds play another Premier League giant, Manchester United. The expectations are that the United side will play with a host of youngsters like Chelsea. But despite this, it will be a great game for Phil Parkinson and his boys. But for now, let everyone enjoy the 4-0 victory over LA Galaxy II.
