What is Twitter’s new reading limit policy?

Musk’s unorthodox methods have severely brought him into the headlines. This time, it is for the social media platform Twitter, which he bought last year. The billionaire entrepreneur recently announced that the platform has temporarily imposed daily limits on the number of posts users can view. He stated that these limits were put in place to address issues related to data scraping and system manipulation. Initially, verified accounts were restricted to viewing 6,000 posts per day, 600 for unverified, and 300 for new ones.

However, later in the day, Musk tweeted that the rate limits would be increased soon. Eventually, they were raised to 8,000 posts for verified, 800 for unverified, and 400 for new unverified accounts. Following user complaints about the app being unavailable, Musk further increased the limits to 10,000, 1,000, and 500. This decision came after many users experienced difficulties accessing the platform, leading to hashtags like “TwitterDown” and “RateLimitExceeded.”
