Revealed: ‘The Most Important’ Reason Why Shakira Forbade Kids From Attending Gerard Pique’s Brother’s Wedding- “Betrayed Her Last Summer”

Even a year after their breakup, the controversy surrounding Shakira and Gerard Pique continues to make headlines. Most recently, the Colombian singer made the decision to forbid her two children from attending Pique’s brother Marc Pique’s wedding with his long-time girlfriend María Valls. However, the refusal has a specific reason as per the latest revelation.

The soccer legend wanted his sons Sasha and Milan to be present at the family celebration. But Shakira put her foot down and said no. The reasons for this decision have been widely speculated. Now, Spanish paparazzi Jordi Martin recently revealed “the most important” factor behind Shakira’s refusal.

Why Shakira didn’t let the kids attend the family wedding?

Jordi Martin has revealed the reasons for this decision. This includes the fact that it was time up for Pique with the kids. This was in accordance with the child custody agreement which grants him only limited visitation time with them. Another reason is that Shakira doesn’t want the kids to interact with Pique’s girlfriend Clara Chia Marti, who was also at the wedding.

However, according to Martin, the biggest reason is Shakira’s fractured relationship with her ex-sister-in-law, María Valls. The paparazzi revealed, “Shakira is very disappointed with her ex-sister-in-law, María Valls, Marc Piqué’s wife”. Both have always maintained a good relationship but now the singer allegedly feels betrayed by her.

“What Shakira interprets is that María betrayed her last summer when she found out that Pique had a relationship with Clara Chía and hid it from her,” explained Jordi Martin. It is this alleged betrayal that led Shakira to cut ties with Valls and her family.

The decision to prevent Sasha and Milan from attending the wedding can now be understood in a different light. Shakira’s refusal can be seen as a way for her to distance herself from whom she believes had betrayed her. As for Jordi Martin who always seems to be making revelations regarding Shakira and Pique seems to have also found himself in a big mess with the soccer legend.

Gerard Pique is dragging Jordi Martin to court

Jordi Martin has been closely involved in the Shakira-Pique saga since the split. He has consistently supported the Latin singer while taking jabs at the former Barcelona star. However, his actions have now caught up with him as Pique has filed a police complaint against him and requested a restraining order.

The journalist is being prosecuted for repeated breaches of privacy and both sides are presently embroiled in a legal struggle. And in one instance Martin criticized Pique’s girlfriend for portraying herself as a victim. The outcome of this situation remains uncertain for now with both parties not backing down.
