Reunited With Estranged Husband, Natalie Portman Sides With Megan Rapinoe in Women’s World Cup’s Kissing Scandal

Things are starting to look bleak for Spanish FA President Luis Rubiales. Following his controversy during the World Cup 2023 final, Rubiales has been slammed by multiple stars, including USWNT legend Megan Rapinoe. Hollywood star Natalie Portman, who was present for the finals alongside her estranged husband, Benjamin Millepied, has also criticized the official for his questionable conduct during the finals.

The Spanish FA president is under fire after his undignified act of unsolicitedly kissing Spanish player Jenni Hermoso during the award ceremony. Portman, following the scandal, has now taken to her social media handle to slam Rubiales for his actions.

After the ceremony, a video surfaced on social media where Hermoso was seen expressing how she didn’t like Rubiales’ behavior. There has been a massive outcry among both fans and athletes, who are now pushing for his resignation.

Earlier, USWNT star Megan Rapinoe slammed Rubiales in an interview calling him a ‘sexist and misogynist’. With the president continuously refusing to resign and sounding quite conspiratorial at that, the Spanish Women’s team has decided to boycott international games unless the president steps down.

Hollywood star Natalie Portman shares the same sentiments as she took to her Instagram account, the caption read, ‘I stand with @jennihermoso,’ showing her support for Jenni Hermoso.

Portman was present during the finals as she attended the game between Spain and England alongside her estranged husband, Benjamin Millepied, and son Aleph. The Thor 2 star has reportedly split up with her husband following reports of several extramarital affairs.

Based on reports from multiple media outlets, Natalie Portman has decided to part ways with her husband after his extramarital affairs came to light. The duo has allegedly filed for divorce and has been living separately.

Nevertheless, the pair were spotted together during the World Cup finals alongside their son Aleph. Portman was seen being a doting mother as they three enjoyed the game together. Millepied and Aleph were seen exiting the stadium at half-time as Portman continued to stay in the stands as she saw the game unfold.
