Major League Soccer is one of the few soccer leagues in the world to not have the concept of relegation and promotion. MLS has a unique league and knockout structure with no chance of falling or going up. While it may have some advantages, it does have drawbacks, such as lower stakes and excitement among fans.

Without relegation or promotion, there is no real high tension between the teams. This can be one of the reasons why many American fans consider Wrexham to be more popular than MLS. Whatever the case may be, it definitely is a noteworthy notion.
