Just when we thought things couldn’t get any worse, it seems like the other shoe has also dropped on Cristiano Ronaldo! The Al Nassr skipper is serving a two-game ban after his ‘childish’ antics against Al Hilal. Cristiano was seen arguing with the match official Muhammad Al-Huwaish throughout the game and was shown a yellow card in the first half for his dissent. However, things took a wild turn in the second half with the Al Nassr skipper shown a straight red card after he elbowed Al Hilal’s Ali Al-Bulaihi.

While Cristiano’s sent-off was somewhat deserved, Al Nassr fans were not pleased with the referee’s decision. Fans slammed Al-Huwaish on social media with many cursing out the referee for costing Cristiano Ronaldo and his side the game. Al Nassr head coach Luis Castro also was a part of the critics, with the Knights of Najd boss questioning Al-Huwaish’s officiating. Well, it seems like the referee has taken enough flak for something he considers right! According to reports, Muhammad Al-Huwaish is set to sue his abusers with the referee hiring a law firm to lodge an official lawsuit.

While Al-Huwaish is looking to take his abusers to court, Cristiano Ronaldo has been enjoying his time away from the field. The Al Nassr skipper was seen cosying up with his girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez earlier this week with the two spotted spending quality time on the beach. Talk about a perfect detox!

Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez enjoy the sun amidst unexpected break

It seems like Cristiano and his girlfriend have found the perfect way to spend their time away from soccer. Georgina took to her Instagram handle earlier this week with the model posting images of her and the Al Nassr skipper enjoying time at the beach. Georgina in her captain stated, ‘Two days for two” implying that the duo has planned the perfect holiday. Apart from their trip to the beach, the two were spotted at a high-end cafe in Saudi Arabia, enjoying what appears to be a lovely date!

Cristiano Ronaldo might miss a chunk of Al Nassr’s remaining games following his suspension. Additionally, the Portuguese talisman has also been slapped with a $5400 fine for using ‘Excessive Force’ during the game. It will be interesting to see how Al Nassr performs in their captain’s absence in their upcoming fixtures. The team has likely washed their hands of lifting any silverware this season, with Cristiano playing an important role in any success the team has produced. Talk about a disappointing way to end the season!
