Jorge Jesus, Al Hilal’s coach, struggled to comprehend Navbahor’s tactics to stop the game’s rhythm with frequent interruptions. The former Flamingo coach believed that several players of the Uzbek side resorted to feigning injuries as an excuse in an attempt to disrupt the course of the gameplay. Additionally, Jesus expressed dissatisfaction with UAE-based referee, Mohammed Abdullah Hassan, on his decisions regarding the opposing team.

The Portuguese manager noted that the match officials assisted Navbahor in repeatedly interrupting the match. In the post-match conference, Jorge Jesus remarked, “We played against a team that didn’t want to play. They played against soccer, and the referee helped them with that and had no say in everything that happened. For me, the referee is of the same level as our opponent”.

The match halted for every five minutes or more, which left the coach deeply disgusted, leading to an unfavorable result in the end. Ali Al Bulaihi netted the late equalizer with a header from an unmarked position in the Navbahor’s penalty box.

Furthermore, Neymar failed to generate opportunities for AL Zaem in his debut match in the AFC Champions League. The only effort from the Brazilian icon was a close-range header that was saved by the rival’s goalkeeper, with just three minutes remaining in the game. The upcoming league match is scheduled for 3 October against Nassaji in Iran.
