Since Kylian Mbappe decided to leave PSG this summer, the entire soccer world has been eagerly waiting for him to speak about his potential Real Madrid switch. While Mbappe has been tight-lipped about the same, rumors and reports suggest that he has opened negotiations with the Madrid front office. So with such speculations in the air, the Mbappe-Madrid saga continues to gain traction. But the 25-year-old’s France teammate and a current Los Blancos star says he is least interested in the transfer saga at the moment.
Last night, France faced Germany in the international friendlies and lost 2-0. However, it wasn’t just Toni Kroos’ assist less than 10 seconds on his national team return that had people talking. After the game, France and Real Madrid midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni was quizzed about his potential union with Mbappe in Madrid. “To be honest… Right now, at this time, I don’t care,” Tchouameni said in response. “Let’s see what he’s [Mbappe] going to do. Right now, he is a player of PSG. We will see in the future what will happen,” the Frenchman continued.

While Tchouameni couldn’t care less about the Mbappe situation, not everyone in the Madrid camp has the same attitude. Veteran Blancos defender Dani Carvajal is eager to welcome the Frenchman. He said the Santiago Bernabeu is the playground for the world’s best players and asserted Mbappe is one of them. He further added that the 25-year-old’s arrival won’t spark jealousy in the Blancos locker room.
He touched upon jealousy, perhaps because the Frenchman would be Madrid’s highest earner, should he join the club. Amid all this, the French captain himself has recently spoken about his future. However as has always been the case, Madridistas will have to wait longer for a clear-cut response.

What Kylian Mbappe said about his Real Madrid switch
Until recently, rumor had it Kylian Mbappe and Real Madrid had put pen to paper. However, while speaking to the press about his future, the first thing Mbappe did was to quash this rumor. “I have still not announced anything on my future… as I have nothing to announce at this stage — no updates,” the French captain said. He added that he would announce before the world “like a man” if he had any big updates to share.
“I think my future will be resolved before the Euros,” Mbappe assured.

Notably, the UEFA Euros start in mid-June. Meanwhile, the UEFA Champions League ends on June 02. Mbappe’s PSG contract also expires in the same month. So the end of May or the beginning of June could be the end of the transfer saga with the 2018 World champion finally confirming his future.
