Real Madrid supporters may be in for a homecoming of a lifetime with their all time top scorer. If reports are to be believed, Cristiano Ronaldo could once again be in action in front of thousands of fans at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium. Los Blancos will unveil their revamped home stadium later this year. While the stadium was to be unveiled last year, progression has taken longer than expected. However, the European giants want to give their fans a big showcase on the inauguration day with the team reportedly inviting Al Nassr to face the Merengues in a club friendly.

This is not the first time Cristiano’s men have been linked with a friendly fixture against Real Madrid. The Spanish Federation is reportedly interested in inviting Al Nassr to Spain for a min-tournament facing the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Atletico Madrid. It will be interesting to see if Al Nassr accepts the invitation to bring Cristiano to his old stomping ground.

According to reports, Los Blancos are keen on bringing Al Nassr to Spain for a club-friendly fixture. Madrid is set to inaugurate their revamped Santiago Bernabeu Stadium later this year and believes Cristiano Ronaldo and his men could be the perfect opposition for the first game at the stadium. Saudi Arabian journalist Saud Al-Sarami broke the news stating, “Al Nassr received an invitation from Real Madrid to participate in a match to inaugurate the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium.”

Cristiano was reunited with former Real Madrid teammates earlier in January. Los Blancos were present in the Middle Eastern nation where they recently hammered arch rivals Barcelona to win the finals of the Supercopa de Espana at Al Nassr’s home ground. Madrid posted the interaction on their official social media handles with the Portuguese superstar seen talking with his former teammates and head coach, Carlo Ancelotti.

While fans will be thrilled to see CR7 light up the Bernabeu once again, Ronaldo will first be hoping to maintain his fitness. After missing the highly anticipated Al Nassr vs Inter Miami which would’ve seen Ronaldo and Messi share the pitch once again, Ronaldo could be back in action soon.
