It’s safe to say that Manchester United have not delivered as per the fan’s expectations. Despite being just 6 points adrift of the Premier League leaders Arsenal, it’s their Champions League performances that have disappointed. Even after spending over $200 million, another disappointing UCL campaign is on the cards for the Red Devils. Moreover, even things off the pitch are not going to plan for Erik ten Hag’s men. The club is currently being investigated for serving raw chicken during a recent event at Old Trafford.
This is the latest in a series of off-field controversies that have plagued United starting from the Jadon Sancho incident. Ten Hag will face the challenge of keeping his squad focused ahead of a pivotal 2nd half of the season.

As per the Athletic, Manchester United is being investigated after people complained of being unwell after eating raw chicken during an event. Some of the reported symptoms include diarrhea, vomiting, and fever. Hence, the Trafford Council has initiated an investigation to check whether the food served was responsible for the illness. Undercooked chicken can cause Salmonella infection which could even result in hospitalization. Hence, the matter is quite serious as far as the club is concerned.
Moreover, United is also believed to be conducting an internal investigation into the matter. However, they have not yet commented on the matter. Old Trafford, being an iconic place, hosts a lot of events and such an incident will impact its reputation. Currently, they have a 5-star rating by the Food Standards Agency which is sure to get affected.
Such incidents will only add to the negativity surrounding ten Hag’s side. The Dutch tactician currently has far too much on his table.
