Raking In $2,500,000 From Gerard Pique Diss Track, Shakira Offered To Pay Off $2.5 Million of Her Ex’s Debt Back in 2022

The split of the once-powerful couple, Shakira and Gerard Pique, shocked the world in June 2022. This was a couple that fans could only admire and then their lives became a storyline of messy drama. From Pique’s infidelity to Shakira’s diss track, it looks like the couple is long gone.

It started in July 2022, when Shakira and Pique were squabbling over the custody of their two children, Sasha, 8, and Milan, 10. This left both parties unyielding in their beliefs, Shakira wanting to maintain custody of the children and Pique also refusing to let go of his children.

This took the struggle for Shakira who proposed an agreement with Pique with beneficial offers to grease the wheels. In her agreement, the Colombian singer proposed covering the full expense of her children. Along with also paying for Pique to travel to Miami to see his children, and granting Pique the freedom to have the children for a whole month.

One issue she proposed was to offer to help pay 20% of Pique’s debt of $2.5 million, which the Ex-Barcelona star had maintained at the time. This generous agreement was almost unheard of and Shakira was firmly determined to do whatever was in her power to get custody of their children.

Shakira eventually won the legal battle, obtaining custody. It isn’t general knowledge what happened to the $2.5 million she offered Pique. However, what is clear is that she was able to get the money back thanks to her diss track.

Shakira’s earnings through her diss track

Shakira made headlines in early 2021 with her collaboration with Bizarrap on a diss track on Gerard Pique. The song “BZRP Music session #53” quickly became a major hit, topping Spotify charts and YouTube records.

The song did well on the commercial front, and Shakira reportedly made about $2.5 million from its success. In addition, she also earned more than $15 million overall; from all of her songs since she split from Pique.
