During a recent interview with Le10Sport, former Olympique Marseille star Pascal Olmenta touched on the club’s sale. The player was all for the sale, believing he could help the club grow to the next level. Olmenta stated, “If the new owners can bring in players of the caliber of Neymar or Messi, why refuse this opportunity? Our children wear the shirts of these legends, so why deprive the next generation of this joy?”
He added, “If OM is to be sold simply for average ambitions, we might as well be transparent with the fans. But if it means being among the top three, then I’m in favor of selling.”
Both Lionel Messi and Neymar were a part of PSG last season. However, the duo moved on to Inter Miami and Al-Hilal this season. OM has come under Saudi Arabia’s radar as a nation looking to take over soccer teams around the seas.
