Kylian Mbappe is unpredictable on the pitch. It is equally appropriate outside it as well. As it stands, the Frenchman will be a free agent next summer, and he will be on the radar of every top European club. Everybody expected PSG to make a significant loss on the player they bought for $160 million. However, in a stunning fresh development, PSG is expected to benefit from a potential transfer of Kylian Mbappe.
Players bought for enormous transfer fees rarely justify the spend. However, PSG will be more than satisfied with the services of the most expensive teenager in soccer history. The 4-time Ligue 1 Player of the Year will probably be impossible to replace for any soccer team. Nevertheless, despite the potential departure of the French superstar, PSG is set to make a financial gain most unexpectedly.

The most likely scenario is Kylian Mbappe departing PSG for Real Madrid in 2024. While the French soccer club will not receive a transfer fee, they do have a strategy in place to maximize the likely exit. This was detailed by Juanfe Sanz in the show ‘El Chiringuito’.
He said, “Paris feels protected because Mbappé is committed and has made several compromises so that the club is profitable with an extension or with a departure. (…) In an agreement that would have been written, Mbappé would have guaranteed that his signing bonus in any club where he goes would arrive in the pockets of PSG.”
There have been rumors that this signing bonus could amount to up to $106 Million. Mbappe, who recently rejected a $1 billion contract offer from Al Hilal, does not seem to be motivated by money. However, this cost PSG nearly $318 million in transfer fees. It could also explain the rationale behind the plan to obtain the signing bonus from Mbappe.

Moreover, this also answers Kylian Mbappe’s exclusion from the pre-season tours of the club. Mbappe and PSG would have discussed a mutual agreement regarding the signing fee and, thus, his reintegration into the squad. The Golden Boot winner at the World Cup nearly joined Real Madrid in 2022. Yet, the dream move is still on the cards as Mbappe aims to take over the mantle left by Karim Benzema.

How much will Mbappe earn as a Real Madrid player?
Josep Pedrerol, the host of the El Chiringuito show, might have just spilled Mbappe’s salary demands. The pundit proclaimed that Mbappe would want a salary of $37 million net per annum, which would see him significantly surpass the current highest earner, Toni Kroos, as the German earns more than $25.5 million gross per annum. The critical aspect is that Mbappe’s salary would be after tax deductions, which indicates an amount of over $42.5 million gross annum. After all, players like Kylian Mbappe would not come cheap.
