Kheira Hamroui, who is under contract with PSG until the end of this month, released a book recently. She joined Parisians after her three-year stint with FC Barcelona women’s team. The French international first came to the spotlight in November 2021. Two hooded men attacked her and beat her on her legs with iron bars.
She again got into the spotlight in April 2022. Hamroui had a scuffle with her few teammates during the training. The incident occurred before the club’s UEFA Women’s Champions League semifinal game. The training dispute involving the former Barcelona star resulted in the coach dropping her for the crucial semifinal against Olympique Lyon. Her future at the club has been in the air since the attack she faced in 2021.
And now, Hamroui has come up with ‘Kheira a contre-pied’ book released recently. The French international recounts her PSG days, where she expressed, “PSG is an inhuman club.” The player was unhappy with the way the club treated her, especially after the attack on her in 2021. She felt she got treated like a victim of a plague.
Hamraoui feels she didn’t get support from PSG. Nor did her teammates support the former Barcelona star. The book will certainly raise questions about the management of PSG. Recently Lionel Messi was subject to booing from the fans continuously, but the club failed to stop the fans from doing so.
