It’s rather widely accepted now that Cristiano Ronaldo has put Al Nassr and Saudi Arabian soccer on the world map. Ronaldo’s $500 million transfer in January 2023 to Al Nassr was followed by a huge influx of some of Europe’s top players to the Gulf nation, but the Saudi league’s promoters haven’t stopped there. As per recent reports, Ronaldo’s former club Real Madrid has announced a new deal with a Saudi Arabian entity.

This comes shortly after news that Al Nassr will host the playoffs of the Spanish Super Cup at their home stadium, namely the Al-Awwal Park. These recent developments come on the back of Al Nassr’s 4-3 win over Al Duhail in the AFC Champions League as Ronaldo netted a brace with two sumptuous strikes with his left foot. But now, according to the latest reports, Ronaldo’s ex-club Real Madrid is set to partner with a Saudi Arabian bank.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s ex-employers Real Madrid have reached a partnership agreement with SAIB i.e. The Saudi Investment Bank. It is different from the PIF, the Public Investment Fund,  Saudi Arabia’s sovereign investment fund. As per the latest reports, this partnership has been made to “introduce unique customer experiences” and to increase the bank’s customer base in Saudi Arabia. This also includes the Spanish club’s fan base in the Middle East.

This strategic partnership between Real Madrid and the SAIB comes after the news that Al Nassr will host the Spanish Super Cup shortly in the coming months.

Another exciting ramification is that Ronaldo could be present in the stands to cheer for his former club Real Madrid as they aim to win the trophy in Saudi Arabia. However, at the moment, Ronaldo will be focused on Al Nassr as the SPL club aims to win some trophies as they are currently challenging on all fronts domestically and in Asia.
