The popularity of Wrexham was off the charts when the club released its famous documentary, “Welcome to Wrexham.” The docuseries gave an insight into the historic takeover of a fifth-division soccer club and its transformation into an underdog.

The majority of the audience loved the documentary so much that it left many fans obsessed with it. Moreover, Wrexham’s popularity is increasing day by day.

However, one interesting story came out that surely proves how much fans are obsessed with the club. Richard Munday is a famous actor who comes from South Wales. The popular actor also watched the documentary, and it seems he was also engrossed by it.

In fact, to share his obsession, he cycled 75 miles just to get a picture clicked outside the famous Racecourse Ground. The latter even posted about it on his Twitter with the caption, “I’m now that obsessed with @Wrexham_AFC after last year’s documentary that I cycled 75 miles to get this shot.

The even actor tagged both and jokingly asked if it is “always raining in Wrexham.” Both superstars are yet to reply to Munday. However, it definitely shows what an impact Ryan and Rob have left on the Wrexham community.

The ladies are set for a historic clash

While the men’s side is busy creating history, the women’s team is also making quite a name for themselves. The women are preparing for their emphatic clash against Connah’s Quay Nomads.

In fact, they have achieved a huge milestone as both teams are set to play in front of the largest-ever Welsh league crowd. Both the first women’s team and the under-19s will parade their respective trophies at the Racecourse on March 26.

The highest record was 5,175 during the clash between Cardiff City and Abergavenny on November 2022. However, the record has been broken as Wrexham sold beyond the historic mark. This is because they had already sold 4,500 tickets just two weeks before the match.
