The former Barcelona talisman wanted a return to the Spanish club after his PSG contract ended. But the economic condition of the Catalan giant didn’t allow the reunion. FC Barcelona is in a financial mess and had to present a viability plan to La Liga for new signings. The Spanish league gave the OK to the proposal, but Barcelona needed a few more steps to sign Messi.

Barcelona needed to sell a few players and bring down the salary cap. It wasn’t acceptable for Messi, as he went through the same situation before his heartbreaking departure to PSG. He announced to join Inter Miami and stopped all the discussion about his future. However, the Barcelona-Messi saga led to the fans taking sly digs at the Blaugrana club.

And now Alejandro Garnacho’s brother is added to the list. He took to Twitter and posted a pic of Lionel Messi with the Manchester United starlet and other teammates before the friendly against Australia. He captioned the pic, “No way my brother is closer to Messi than poor Barcelona has been.”  He didn’t hold back and trolled Barcelona for failing Messi again after the 2021 saga.
