Brazilian superstar Neymar Jr is known for his love for late-night parties. The former Barcelona star has been often photographed enjoying his time in clubs. Following his move to PSG, Neymar made a reputation for being a party animal with his ex-neighbors, slamming him for constant noises. The mayor of Bougival in a recent interview commented on Neymar’s first year in Paris and how the local police had to be involved for his parties.

His former neighbors slammed the Brazilian earlier this year. In an interview, his ex-neighbors stated that they were happy the player was gone from the city. The ex-PSG superstar made a surprising switch this summer, as he joined Saudi side Al-Hilal on a big money deal.

Bougival’s mayor opens up on Neymar Jr’s parties

Neymar Jr. moved to Paris in 2017, joining PSG on a big money deal from FC Barcelona. The mayor of Bougival in a recent interview with Le10Sport touched down on Neymar’s party and how he surprised them with his discretion.

He stated, “In the first years, we heard nothing. He surprised me with his discretion. We never saw him. When he arrived, we were a little afraid of his behavior, but in the end, there was nothing extraordinary.”

The mayor then added, “The police were involved in the preparation of some so that things went well. We were talking with his father and his staff about the preparations. For his last party, we agreed that it would end at 11 p.m., it ended at midnight.”

Neymar was slammed by his neighbors in an interview last month as they complained about the player’s constant parties. The Brazilian spent six years at PSG before moving over to Al-Hilal this summer.

Brazilian star slammed by his ex-neighbours

Neymar made the news last month after the player’s name was dragged through the mud by his ex-neighbors. In an interview, a couple who lived next to the player stated that they were happy the ex-PSG superstar had left the city.

The couple stated, “We’re glad he’s gone. It was chaos. We heard women screaming in Portuguese while they popped the corks. He had big projectors that lit up everything in our house in the middle of the night. Every weekend there was loose partying until 4 o’clock.”

Neymar, following his stint at PSG, has now moved over to Saudi side Al-Hilal. The player is currently out with an injury and is expected to make a return next year before the Copa America.
