Ryan Reynolds, co-owner of Wrexham AFC, is very active on social media. He took over the world’s third-oldest soccer club with fellow Hollywood star Rob McElhenney in 2021. It’s been over two years since the takeover, and the club is eyeing promotion this season. In its final stretch of the season, Wrexham made a few signings recently, including that of former Manchester United goalkeeper Ben Foster.

Despite making some signings, Reynolds funnily urged fellow Hollywood star Ben Schwartz to play for Wrexham. Reynolds is eagerly waiting for Wrexham to get a promotion this season after recently winning the first trophy under his reign. The Wrexham AFC Women won the league trophy this weekend.

Wrexham co-owner funnily urges Hollywood star to play for Wrexham AFC

Recently, Sonic The Hedgehog star posted a video of his basketball skills on Twitter. Schwartz is a fan of the NBA franchise, Ney York Knicks, and was seen trying his skills at The Garden Arena, home to the Knicks. Reynolds was quick to reply, appealing to the fellow actor. He seemed to be impressed with the skills of the actor.

Ryan Reynolds tweeted, “Please tell me you also play football and are willing to move to Wales,” replying to Schwartz. It was a funny appeal from the Deadpool star to the Music star. The friendly conversation continued between the two. Schwartz also replied to the tweet of Reynolds.

Schwartz replied, “To play the legendary Racecourse Ground, ‘the Madison Square Garden of Wales?’ I would start training and catching up on Mythic Quest right now.” Schwartz has been a Nicks fan since his childhood, and it was a dream come true to show his skills at The Garden Arena, and given his general level of skill his love for the game was apparent.

It will be interesting to see how the Wrexham co-owner responds next. He is in celebration mode currently after the women’s team won the first trophy and is waiting for the men’s team to get promoted after a stellar season.
