Ahead of the historic game against Wrexham, the Chelsea boss showed confidence and excitement about facing the Hollywood Stars team.

Chelsea defender, Marc Cucurella outlines on Blues’ last season performance
Chelsea defender Marc Cucurella has stated that he is fully committed to staying at Chelsea this summer. Cucurella revealed that he’s happy with the club, despite the hard campaign the entire squad faced last season. Brought in for big money on a £175,000-a-week contract, the Spain international struggled to adapt to life in West London.
Because of the Blues’ last season performance, the defender received a lot of criticism from supporters. Recently, the 24-year-old left-back opened up about his last season’s performance and how he aims to overcome all the criticism and backlash. He mentioned that confidence is the key factor that motivates players to overcome any obstacle.
He also opens up about how he plans to overcome difficult times and believes in himself. During the press conference, the Chelsea defender said, “You have confidence you feel you are the same player and without confidence you are a s**t player. I work on this. I have one person I have to speak with my problems and they have some details to improve this, to focus on the small details to try to win confidence.”

He further mentions that it’s a new season with a new coach and the entire squad is full of confidence and motivation. The Spain international also revealed if the squad faced any split due to the difficult campaign. He explained, “Not a divide but the players who don’t play are not happy. It is the same with a lot of teams. The problem is when the team doesn’t win it is difficult to stay happy, it is difficult to find the motivation because the last two months were very difficult.”
Cucurella mentions that the entire squad is full of motivation and confidence for the upcoming season. Moreover, he also reveals that players are not happy with the last season and are fully prepared for their clash against Wrexham.

Besides Chelsea’s plans to conquer the next season, the Blues will be facing the Red Dragons in the Florida Cup, an annual international friendly competition, on July 19. Apart from fans, the Blues are also excited to leave fans awe-struck by their phenomenal performance against Wrexham.
