During the press conference, the Chelsea defender said, “You have confidence you feel you are the same player and without confidence you are a s**t player. I work on this. I have one person I have to speak with my problems and they have some details to improve this, to focus on the small details to try to win confidence.”

He further mentions that it’s a new season with a new coach and the entire squad is full of confidence and motivation. The Spain international also revealed if the squad faced any split due to the difficult campaign. He explained, “Not a divide but the players who don’t play are not happy. It is the same with a lot of teams. The problem is when the team doesn’t win it is difficult to stay happy, it is difficult to find the motivation because the last two months were very difficult.”
