Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, and Neymar Jr. are the iconic names of this generation in soccer. The trio has made a name for themselves with brilliant displays on the field. And there are very few players who got a chance to play with all three of them. Brazilian midfielder Arthur Melo is one of them. 

Melo shared some fascinating experiences about playing with the three superstars recently. There have been numerous debates over which of the three is best. Arguments will keep going. Meanwhile, the Liverpool star didn’t take a side but revealed one common trait between them that separates them from other soccer stars.

Arthur Melo is on loan to the English club Liverpool FC from Juventus. He has shared the field with Lionel Messi during his FC Barcelona days. Melo has also played with Cristiano Ronaldo for one season at Juventus. And Neymar Jr. is his national teammate. The Liverpool midfielder is one of those fortunate players who has played with all three superstars.

The Brazilian told Goal,“Neymar, CR7, and Messi. All three have something in common. They have a winning mentality.” Melo feels they don’t care where they are playing or against whom. They will keep giving their best. “Whether it’s a training session, a friendly, or a final, the three always go out to kill. Even if they play against their mother, they don’t care,” Melo added.

The Liverpool midfielder thinks their winning mentality is the crucial trait that keeps them pushing for the best. “Their mentality is tremendous,” Arthur Melo said. He currently plays with the likes of Mohamed Salah at Liverpool. However, his loan spell at the Merseyside club hasn’t gone well. The midfielder has played only one game (around 13 minutes) with injuries affecting him. 

Melo will return to Juventus at the end of the season if Liverpool doesn’t extend his stay. He still has two more years remaining in his Juventus contract. Melo also spoke about the characteristics of Messi, Neymar Jr., and Ronaldo.

While speaking of Neymar Jr., Melo said, “Neymar is skilled, he feints, and he dribbles.” “Cristiano scores a goal wherever he is. He scores a goal wherever he goes because he has incredible ability,” the Brazilian said.

“And Messi, well, Messi is an ET. An alien. One thing is out of the ordinary. I had the opportunity to play with all three and see them up close. Each one with its characteristics, some dribble more or finish better, but I prefer their mentality. All three are out of the ordinary in that regard,” he added. It was a fascinating take by the Brazilian on the superstars.
