Gerard Pique’s public image has seen an interesting phase of development in the past 10 months. Since his June 2022 split with Colombian singer Shakira, Pique has been subject to public skepticism, criticism, and disparagement. This was especially evident when the news of Pique’s infidelity with his former partner broke out.

Since then, the couple has seen multiple controversies and problems. To add fuel to the fire, Pique irked Shakira’s ‘Latin American fans’ when he publicly slammed them. However, despite this collective sentiment aimed towards Pique, a recent statement from Colombian soccer star, Vanessa Córdoba has hinted at a different perspective.
