Wrexham AFC continues to lay the groundwork for the 2024–25 season. After clinching a second consecutive promotion from the National League and then League Two, the Red Dragons have set their sights on League One. Beyond new transfers and scratching the tactic board, excitement remains for what Phil Parkinson’s men are wearing on the pitch. While the home and away kits are released, a unique away kit has been released by Wrexham that pays tribute to a special cause.
The kit is a heartfelt tribute to the tragic Greenford Colliery Miners incident, commemorating the 266 victims of the 1934 disaster who perished in the underground explosion and fire at the Gresford Colliery near Wrexham. Speaking of the jersey, kit maker Macron has once again nailed it for the Welsh club.
The design of the kit is entirely black and features a scale pattern. Upon closer inspection, you can see dragons, the club’s official symbol, printed all over the jersey. It includes a black polo collar and white sponsor logos. The attention to detail thing is that on the outer back neck, there is a white image of the wheel placed over the mine, serving as a memorial to the 266 men.

Meanwhile, Macron decided to keep black shorts and socks for the new Wrexham 2024–2025 away kit. We couldn’t agree that the jersey looks subtle and eye-catching. Ardent fans, who are already keen to buy it, can do so by surfing the club’s and Macron’s official websites, as well as offline stores. They have been put on sale since August 1 and are retailing at 60 GBP ($77).
While the away kit surely makes them the talk of the town, that doesn’t rule out the fact that their home and third kit stand out too.

Last month saw Wrexham AFC first release their official home kit for the 2024–25 season. Once again, Marcon retains the classic red color, but they again added an attention-to-detail feature that has embossed dragon scales. Meanwhile, the color and the end of the sleeves are white, matching the shots and socks that have red boundaries. On the other hand, the third kit is in a golden shade. Just like the home and away kit, it also features dragon-scale graphics on the front, back, and sleeves.
Likewise, the deep V-neck polo collar is a black shade. The back neck part is personalized with a red background label featuring a white-green-gold diagonal band in the center, the club’s crest, the Macron logo, and the words ‘Designed in Bologna’. Additionally, similar to the away kit, the gold shirt also incorporated the tribute on the nape to the 266 victims of the Gresford Colliery Disaster.
